Rhythm Foundation 25th Season Celebration honoring Gilberto Gil

A celebration of the Rhythm Foundation’s 25th season honors GILBERTO GIL with an exclusive solo concert. The Brazilian icon has been at the forefront of Brazilian culture since co-founding the explosive tropicalia movement of the late 1960s. From the young bossa nova musician, to the musical groundbreaker of the psychedelic era, to the artist who made a perfect marriage between Brazil and Jamaican reggae, to the pop star who embraced rock music and electronica, Gil's music has encompassed everything from baião and samba to MPB, rock, reggae, afoxé, and axé. His strength lies in his compositions, voice and guitar mastery. He has been awarded several GRAMMY awards and other major honors for a career that continues to flourish. He now returns to the stage after serving as Brazil’s Minister of Culture.

The night also features dinner by Thierry Catering, open bar, after show party with DJ Da Lua of Bossacucanova.
